Current exhibition: Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable
From Sunday 9 April, 2017, Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana present a new project by British artist Damien Hirst that has been ten years in the making. This will be the first major solo show dedicated to the artist in Italy since the 2004 retrospective at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale in Naples.

- William Merritt Chase. A painter between New York and Venice

An absolute European preview, a great retrospective dedicated to the American artist William Merritt Chase with almost sixty of the artist’s best works from American public and private collections. A renowned figure in the international art circles of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, William Merritt Chase (1849-1916) has been an innovative painter who has known to portrait, through a technique inspired by the observation of the masters of European art antic and contemporary, the life of the north American bourgeoisie.

- Ettore Sottsass: The Glass
Fondazione Giorgio Cini
From April 10 till July 30

The exhibition, curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, sets out to explore the Italian designer’s complete glass production. Consisting of around 200 items, the show will consist of loans from major private collections as well as objects preserved in the historical archives of the Venetian glassworks that Sottsass worked in. Moreover, itinerary also includes some of the splendid glass items he designed for Venini.

- CABINET OF CURIOSITIES. The Storp collection
Mocenigo Palace

Till October 1
The exhibition of the extraordinary glass collection of the Storp family, who in 1911 founded Drom Fragrances in Munich, further explores a theme already present in the permanent exhibition at the Museo di Palazzo Mocenigo. The result is an extensive journey into the magical world of perfume bottles, where practicality often gives way to elegance.
